“cut” -- 切 （表达的范围比较笼统一点）

Cut the potato into chunks.

把土豆切成大块吧！

cube -- v. 切成小块

Can you help me cube these potatoes?

你能帮我把这些土豆切成小块吗？

dice -- v. 切丁儿 (比cube稍小点)

Please help me dice the potatoes.

请帮我把土豆切成丁儿。

slice -- v.切片，切薄片

I want you to slice the cucumber.

我想让你把黄瓜切成薄片。

chop --v. 剁碎，切碎

Please dice the onions first ，then chop them.

先把洋葱切成丁，然后再剁碎。

julienne --v. 把（食物）切成细丝，细条

adj.（蔬菜）切成细长条的

Dice tofu and dice celery to be julienne.

将豆腐切丁、芹菜切丝。

shred -- v. 切细丝

Please shred the carrot.

把胡萝卜切成细丝。
